XXth Congress • Melbourne, Australia • 12-15 October 2022

Dr. Mads Kjelgaard-Hansen (Denmark) was awarded the Heiner Sommer Lectureship Prize. Dr. Cleide Spröhnle-Barrera (University of Queensland) received the 2022 Kaneko Prize for best oral presentation for her research “Epidemiology and Genetic Assessment of Splenic Nodular Lesions in Splenectomised Dogs”.

XIXth Congress • Virtual • 30 Oct-1 Nov 2020

Many thanks to Prof Mary Christopher (President-Elect, ISACP) for organizing this virtual joint conference of the ISACP, American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology and American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Invited speakers included Amelia Goddard (South Africa), Gabriele Rossi (Australia), and Jose Ceron (Spain). 21 ISACP abstracts from 12 countries were presented.

Dr. Demitria Vasilatis (University of California-Davis) received the J. Jerry Kaneko Prize for the best oral presentation for her research “Utility of Amikacin to Dissociate Platelet Clumps in Blood Samples from Cats and Dogs”. Dr. Jennifer Bouschor (University of Minnesota) received the Eitan Bogin Prize for best poster presentation for her research “Impact of Tumor Heterogeneity on the Cytologic Grading of Canine Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumors”.

On 31 October 2021, the ISACP and ASVCP also co-sponsored a workshop on “Understanding the Crucial Role of Acute Phase Proteins in Veterinary Clinical Pathology”, with presentations by many outstanding international speakers. Click here to access the workshop videos and proceedings.

XVIIIth Congress • Tokyo, Japan • 4-8 August 2018

Many thanks to Professor Toshiro Arai (President-Elect, ISACP) for organizing the ISACP Congress in Tokyo. More than 150 participants enjoyed the cultural riches of Japan along with the scientific diversity of research and colleagues from 24 countries.

A special award, the Tsukimi Washizu Memorial Prize was dedicated to the life and inspiration of Dr. Tsukimi Washizu, long time member of the ISACP and clinical pathologist in Japan. Dr. Beth Schmidt (Brazil) and Dr. Kazuhiko Ochiai (Japan) were awarded this prize for their outstanding presentations.

Other award winners were: Jose Joaquin Ceron (Spain) who was awarded the Heiner Sommer Lectureship, Laura Brookes (Australia) who received the JJ Kaneko Prize for best oral presentation, and Mona Uchida (Japan) who received the Eitan Bogin Prize for best poster presentation.

XVIIth Congress • Cape Town, South Africa • 5-9 April 2016

Thanks to organizers Drs. Amelia Goddard (President-Elect, ISACP) and Emma Hooijberg from the University of Pretoria, the ISACP Congress was held for the first time on the African continent. Delegates attended from Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, Australasia, the Americas and the rest of Africa. The Scientific Program highlighted engaging guest speakers and topics in veterinary clinical pathology, biochemistry, immunology, toxicology and ethno-veterinary medicine. Cape Town's rich cultural heritage and the wider excitement of South Africa's parks and animals were enjoyed by all.

Dr. Morrie Craig (USA) was awarded the 2016 Heiner Sommer Lectureship Prize and presented “Ruminal Microbes to the Rescue”. Dr. Adrian Tordiffe (University of Pretoria) received the J. Jerry Kaneko Prize for Best Oral Presentation, and Dr. Yuki Okada (Japan) received the Eitan Bogin Prize for Best Poster Presentation. Congratulations to all of the award winners!
