This webinar will examine the mechanisms and implications of aberrant haemostasis in inflammation and cancer. Topics include: coagulation activation during the acute inflammatory response; the role of platelets in linking haemostasis, inflammation, and tissue injury; platelets as mediators of cellular communication; tumor expression of tissue factor; and mechanisms of coagulation-dependent metastasis. Disease examples will include acute babesiosis in dogs, canine parvovirus enteritis, African horse sickness, as well as carcinoma and sarcoma in dogs.
